New HubSpot Product Pricing Effective August 1, 2010

HubSpot has published new product pricing that will go into effect August 1, 2010. Actually, the only change in pricing is on the large product which goes from $15,000/year to $18,000/year.
You can view the new pricing on the HubSpot website here: HubSpot Product Pricing. Alternatively, download a PDF version of HubSpot Product Pricing.
The new pricing centers around the HubSpot API (HAPI) now being made available only with the large product. The API acronym stands for, "Application Programming Interface" and is a way to integrate external applications in with a primary application or platform for additional functionality. According to HubSpot, the HAPI "includes a Leads API that provides developer access to data from the HubSpot Leads application and can be used for a variety of integrations, most commonly bi-directional CRM integrations for closed-loop-marketing."
In addition to the Leads API, HubSpot, on their developer documentation main page indicates more API's will become available in the future, such as: Keywords, Pages and WebsiteGrader.
Somewhat similar to the HAPI which will afford integration with other CRM products such as SugarCRM, 37 Signal's Highrise and others is the existing integration HubSpot provides as an AppExchange partner with Salesforce.com (SFDC). HubSpot customers choosing the medium product have the ability to easily integrate the Salesforce.com CRM for SFDC Professional users and higher with their HubSpot.
While the new pricing makes the large product twice as expensive as the medum product ($18,000/year vs. $9,000/year) developer access to the HAPI for the Leads API and other API's soon to be released may be well worth the added investment.
